The Sydney Roosters wish to advise that the club’s primary affiliation with NSW Cup side, the Newtown Jets, will conclude at the end of the 2014 season.
The Roosters have enjoyed a successful partnership with the Newtown Jets for the last nine seasons, however further to the club’s formation of an alliance with the entire Central Coast Division Rugby League earlier this year, the Roosters are pursuing the formalisation of an agreement with the Wyong Rugby League Club Group whereby they will be the club’s feeder side in the NSWRL Cup in 2015 going forward.
This proposal complements the club’s strategy in linking with the region to provide a complete pathway program to the NRL. The Roosters club also has a presence in the area via the Easts Group’s ownership of Woy Woy Leagues Club.
The Sydney Roosters wish fellow foundation club, the Newtown Jets, continued success, and will advise members and supporters of further information regarding this proposal in due course.

Astute move by Easts, will certainly improve memberships, sponsorship and junior development.

Translation: we don't have any of our own juniors at the club so we'll just nick some from elsewhere, thus continuing a fine, decades-old tradition.

It must burn you 3rd degree style to see us successful doing what we're doing and you guys unsuccessful doing what you're doing.

But hey, you're setting the standard for fans and juniors and empty trophy cabinets, keep up the good work.

Chook.

Coogee and Randwick are part of the Eastern Suburbs. They should be part of the Easts territory but they were stolen by the cursed Rabbits.

At least the Roosters managed to lure Craig Wing, a Coogee junior, from the Rabbits over to the prestige club in time for a Grand Final appearance.

Yeah yeah heard it all before. I've noticed your club has moved in on the central coast. They have a lot of good juniors up north but it's fair to say that Souths Sydney has just signed from under your nose possibly the best junior to come out of the central coast, his name is Damon Goolagong, described by many as the next GI. Seems you lot have been beaten to the punch once again.

The NRL still compensates souths as they have only been in the league for 12 yrs. Anything before is null and void, and may as well be referred to as glebe or newtown.
