Ricky is a fraud same as Robbo both had sqaud built for them Once the squad started to move on and Ricky had to do some building you saw how bad he was..

Smith in 97 agree team was handed to him but he also rebuilt the team unlike your Hero Robbo..

Robbo has taken a team given to him and won a Grand Final he sits behind Ricky at the moment as Sticky actually has built a team himself...

Oh yes because when Robinson arrived at the Roosters in 2013 Daniel Tupou, Roger Tuivasa-Scheck, Sam Moa, Isaac Lui, Dylan Napa, Brendan Elliott, Kane Evans, Jackson Hastings, Ryan Matterson, Connor Watson, Nat Butcher, Lindsay Collins, Poasa Faamausuli, Matt Ikavalu, Lachlan Lam, Joseph Manu, Latrell Mitchell, Victor Radley, Sio Suia Taukeiaho, Sitili Tupouniua, Sam Verrills were already all established and well known NRL first grade players

Keep sluggin' champ.

Now that the Roosters Head Coach Cronk has retired, it will be interesting to see how his assistant Robinson will go. No doubt the Politis chequebook will gift him another franchise player in the next season.

He managed to win a premiership without Cronk plus 3 MPs. Reckon he’ll manage okay

I know @Canard is stirring, and you’ve had a nibble, but I think it’s a valid conversation.

Underestimating Cronk’s contribution to the Roosters is a mistake in my opinion. They still have plenty of quality, but I don’t think you can honestly say that they will be as good without him.

Keary will need to make the transition to running the team. I think he has the skills, and he has shown that he can manage the team in games, but what will be tested is whether he can manage the team for a season. It’s a step up, and I think the Rooster’s fortunes over the next couple of seasons will be largely determined by how well he makes that step up.

It was a nibble and nah mate, not under estimating the task ahead. Cronk’s been made a life member for a reason. Arguably the best signing in the club’s history. He’s staying on as a mentor to young Flanno which I hope helps our cause. I do think Robbo is an excellent coach and has instilled a great culture. You won’t find anyone who has played under Robbo have a bad word to say about him.

At this stage in his career I'd rate Robinson as slightly ahead of McGregor especially when comparing squads.

It’s more than that. Most players who play under Mary say what a great bloke he is.

The Roosters have built a great culture no doubt. But a culture is much harder to maintain when you aren’t having success.

I’m a big fan of Robinson. But I’m also a big fan of Cronk. Between them they built a team on defensive attitude, and I think Cronk was a vital part of maintaining that attitude on the field. There were obviously other leaders, eg JWH and Cordner. But Cronk has greater focus than either.

I think Robinson will still coach a very good team, but I can’t see them being as dominant in the next couple of years.

Agree with all that but don’t forget the 2013 team broke defensive records and kept teams to nil after 80mins on 6 occasions? Robbo came with a reputation as a defensive master. Think Cronk and Robbo complement one another. Cronk will definitely be missed. I’m glad he’s been given a coaching role.

and a drovers dog could have won 3 Premierships with the cattle at his disposal. Dont buy into media hype buddy, theyre paid to get click bait and feed the masses what they want to hear. It sells......every institution needs its heroes

But, but this was the same team that all you posters on here said would finish bottom four.
