cdf---paul davis hey, might not win anymore games than Teflon Tim,but the team would be a happier unit. Mind you the team would be a happier unit if anyone else was coaching them

I stated at the start of this season that we should make a play for Nathan Brown. Nothing has changed my mind, although he has now signed on with Huddesfield. If we hadn't made the disgraceful decision of re signing Sheens at the end of 2007 we could of had Brown signed for next season. Still if we are stuck with Sheens, we should be in Brown's ear now about a return in 2010 to the NRL with our club in my opinion. Many probably have their doubts about Brown however I think he comes across as a pretty smart operator.

We need a young coach that can relate to the players. Sheens is clearly very stale and his ego and favourite playing is probably wearing very thin with certain players.

Other good choices would be Daneil Anderson, Flanagan or perhaps a wild card like Kearney, Daley or Matt Johns. Certainly I think some these guys could at the bery least motivate the playing group, something clearly Sheens can no longer do.

I would go for Brown, I think he is still young and has nrl coaching experience> Getting away from Saints would make him a better coach.

if simmons was sacked by the tigers i think melbourne would pay out bellamys 5 year contract and sign roycie up. he can out coach them all in case you havent heard.

i would also go with a young coach. Flanagan would be great as would Kearney or the other Storm bloke, his name escapes me but he was involved in Country and NSW this year and Blocker said he is a first grade coach in the waiting.

i agree 100%, brown has a great football mind but starting at saints so quickly did him a lot more harm then good. there are STILL guys at the club he played first grade with. when he started he had played with about 90% of the players he was coaching. its hard to go from being 'one of the boys' to being the bloke they all have to answer to. i have no doubts he will be a great success in huddersfield.
