Just read an interesting comment on the Telegraph website, under our match report.

Of course it could just be trolling or have could be nothing to it (like much stuff on here, my own posts included) - but might be interesting to see if there's any truth in this if things don't shape up over the next few weeks?

Any contract extension negotiations with SK should be put on hold until we start performing on the field. I don't think that's too much to expect after what was dished up this week. It's the responsible thing to do. Coaches, like players, can become complacent knowing their job is safe.

If Daniel Anderson were allowed to see out his contract we could have had Wayne Bennett or Des Hasler coaching us this year.

They know you can't win anything without players. That's why they only go to clubs that already have strong rosters.

Exactly and it's not Kearneys fault the dumb pricks before him let go the likes of Williams and Mateo and replaced them with noone.

Thing is it's up to the coach to make the players play with pride. If he can't do that then maybe he isn't the best man for the job.

If he can't do that he needs to replace them, but as you saw tonight our reserve grade side isn't much chop and our under 20s are only 17 years old.

Replacing these losers will take time but thank f**k they're all off contract at the end of the year.

Money talks. Like has already been stated, we are a big club, in a very good financial position. We shouldn't be chasing rookies, we should be throwing the bank at an established coach.

Its about time you stop being so negative about our playing roster.

I know a shit load of eels fans, and in the cronin stand where I sit, and the talk is all the same. They cant wait for SK contract to end.

You must sit near me Freek... :lol:. I was going to reply to Suity by saying I should take a tape recorder along this week, to pick up some of the comments and concerns being voiced about Kearney in the stands (if Suity thinks such views are limited to the food staff).

He's simply not getting the best out of the players at the moment. Sure, the players have to take responsibility - but when it's a regular a thing as it seems, then sometimes the responsibility also lies in the coaching options.

I sat in the Cronin Stand with a season ticket for 10 years. Funnily enough, most of the fans there have assisted me in forming my opinions on whinging, whiney Eels fans. When I do buy tickets there now, I buy them as far away to the corners as I can. Too many granny's for me. They Would think like that.

I don't think JT would be a bad option. Souths 2007 defence has been our best since reinstatement and that was under Taylor.

Throw in Sandow who has points in him and things could turn around for the Eels in 2013, if they make the right moves
