He had me in tears the poor kid. It is just amazing how he managed to overcome all of the setbacks and so good that his partner Tahlia was with him all of the time as well as his mum and dad and Blocka and the club.

I really hope that he can overcome this illness fully and that the Dragons continue to support him. I cannot see him playing league again unfortunately.

It would be worth following his journey and see him happily married and having his own family to give him a lot of purpose to keep going.

I wish Cody all the very best. You are a champion Cody.

Thanks for posting Veteran Dragon.

I was and am not as bad as Cody, but I had Rectal Cancer and had a large part of my bowel removed. Cancer free for 8 years but I know how Cody feels. I have the same symptoms as he does. I hope he plays again, such an inspiration. The interview was excellent.

Thank goodness you are cancer free now Draginzaaar. Would not have been easy for you those years ago so keep healthy mate. Yes, Cody's interview was excellent carried out so well by both of them. I just hope Cody can live a normal, family happy life.

I want this kid to lead us out into the 1st round of the 2025 season even if he can’t play.
I want Flano to sacrifice an interchange spot so we fit him in.
Even if we play with 16 men.
This is what St. George is all about moving forward.
And v broncos and whoever else who doubt us.
I can see your point mate, but I cant see Flanno doing that in our first game, its just way too important to sacrifice anything against the dogs. Whilst being the bearer of bad news, maybe we could just have him lead the team out and a little bit of respect from the crowd handclapping him back off. I have no doubt that when he says he will be back , that he will make it back, tremendous courage.

The Charity Shield would be good to have be a Cody part of0 They can inlcude him on the bench. They don't play him but just let him sit with the players kitted up and do some drills prior to kickoff with the team.

If there is a charity for this disease, then it would be good if some of the money they make from the game goes to that or even Cody himself. Which charity does get the funds?

I think the money goes to the hospitals related to each club - Souths Cares for the Bunnies and Wollongong and St George Hospitals.

Cody shows all attributes that I wish all our players had - courage, determination and a burning desire to do whatever it takes to wear the Big Red V! It's OK for the other players NOT to have the ghastly health issue that Cody is recovering from. I compare Cody's attitude with our recent former captain and wonder at the random unfairness that life can dish out.
