What commitment, what a legend!

depends on what medical science can come up with. He sure can beat a man one on one.Who has been watching Cody in reserve grade?
Appears to have played 4 games. Played 80 minutes in each one.
He won't topple Gutho at fullback and Sloan is probably ahead of him as well. But will Cody Ramsey see first grade again?
Watched him having a super game against the Bulldogs and imo was the matchwinner. Admittedly I haven't seen a lot of him since then but his stats are impressive and I can see him being our full-back ( better and more courageous than Sloane) and Gutho moving to 5/8 where he is currently playing like an extra 5/8 to Flanno Jnr anyway.depends on what medical science can come up with. So, only lookng at the halves, would not it be more beneficial to the team if we went with Glover at halfback, The halves just aren't firing.Watched him having a super game against the Bulldogs and imo was the matchwinner. I doubt he'll ever get back to 1st grade but watching how he plays makes me wish he does.Who has been watching Cody in reserve grade?

I must be missing something….he has played pretty well at the level below, if his health was in danger he wouldn’t be playing at all, so what is it exactly that makes a return to NRL unlikely? There have been plenty of successful light fullbacks in my time. He’s an amazingly humble and inspiring guy. Just to return to NSW cup is way beyond what the doctors told him was possible.
I hope the Dragons look after this guy for life- he deserves it.
It‘s a really slim chance he returns to the NRL - but if anyone can do it, he can.
Yes you are missing something. Have you got any idea how many calories NRL players burn?I must be missing something….he has played pretty well at the level below, if his health was in danger he wouldn’t be playing at all, so what is it exactly that makes a return to NRL unlikely? We really need Gutho running the attack at 6, our halves are pluggers at best, but no way can Sloane be back at 1, the answer is Ramsay. Speed, reliability and total loyalty - great traits for our next fullback, the sooner the better.
tell me why not.
Ok fair enough, thanks for the info. Hope he continues to enjoy playing and being part of the club, he has plenty of courage and talent.Yes you are missing something. Have you got any idea how many calories NRL players burn?
Both Flanno and Cody are on record this year saying that there are still huge hurdles for him to get over to play NRL again. He can’t eat normally. He has half a stomach, if that. A lot of his intestines were removed. So he can’t put weight on and his body cant get the fuel necessary to have the endurance for a full game of NRL. Thats before we talk about how light he still is. Which brings us back to him not being able to eat enough. The fact that he’s playing NSW cup is literally a minor miracle. Ask anybody who has had the disease.
Not technically correcy since77. Yes, he has had bowel removed and been reconstructed. Yes it is harder for the body to absorb nutriants. It isn't impossible to bulk up though. My son had the same desease and reconstructive surgery and managed to get up to 120kg. It was probably the crap diet but he did put on heaps of weight. Hopefully Cody can get somewhere near his old playing weight and maybe crack first grade. It would be truely awesome.Yes you are missing something. I’ll be definitely cheering for him if he does get back. Heck I’m cheering for him now! What an achievement!N

Cheers mate. We supporters could certainly use a great comeback story to get behind. God forbid, our team is way too hit and miss to give us all no more than ulcersI’ll be definitely cheering for him if he does get back. Heck I’m cheering for him now! What an achievement!
Cody said in a radio interview a short while ago that the weight issue along with food intake are his major hurdles to get over. He is noticing that he is very easily rag dolled in tackles since coming back and that will obviously be a worse issue playing in first grade.
Glad to hear your son is on the mend!
I'm tipping Ransey to be our fullback in 2026.I doubt he'll ever get back to 1st grade but watching how he plays makes me wish he does.
