I thought Best lost a lot of his ability after his comeback from knee surgery

Looks like history repeating itself with us again and another centre too, Franze is struggling since coming back from knee problems.

Best's defence at times was ordinary but he didn't come to us after 12 years of junior footy. The kid was a soccer player in his youth. So i'm hoping by now he would have improved his defence. He was a brialliant ball runner and fantastic in the air. Next year he'll be about 26 and in his prime. Get him back!

He was never ever the same for us after City Country when he did his knee ligaments. Ever.

I don't know if I'd want him back. I hear Rhino is going pretty well over there with Castleford. I'd take him back.

it's shoold be about forward thinkingf now not dwelling the past if you ask me. future orientaton is the way to go instead of recruting for old times sake

Yeah, the future is what we need to think about. I have no problem with reminiscing about how fun it used to be to go to Shark Park though. When we watched our local boys go round. I hope they start putting more money into our own juniors rather than spending it on outside recruits. Look after guys like Stephen Ross, Bronx Goodwin, Russ Aitken, Reece Williams, Dave Simmons, Keith Galloway & Matt Hilder.

Remember when we had all those De La Salle, Engadine & Cronulla Caringbah guys in first grade. Let's get back to our roots.

Well you can count Kimmorley and Vagana out of that side, if you want to dismiss what Ando did for the club.

And I wouldn't have Best back for anything.
Simmo looks a much better prospect. As does Merritt. His defence is deplorable so there is no way I'd have him anywhere near a centre position.

Next you guys'll be suggesting we get Longy back from the Dragons.

Well you can count Kimmorley and Vagana out of that side, if you want to dismiss what Ando did for the club.

Apparently Anderson had very little to do with the signing of Vagana.

Bring Best back for sure if the money is right & the fitness is right.

Best was solid player & is now a better more experienced player.

heaps of players have come back from England in good shape & ready for another crack at the NRL.

e.g. Alfie, Carrol, Death, Nikau etc etc.

I've been watching him play on fox sports and he seems to playing very well. Still has the speed and his defence was very good as well.
I remember them saying at the club a while ago that they where grooming him for when ET retired.

McKenna said he would be back. I'd take him back and wack him into the 2nd row.

I wouldn't take Mellor. He'd be to slow for a winger and wouldn't do much in the backrow IMO.

Mellor hasn't been that great for Castleford. And the British fans dislike McKenna because he's not a flashy player.
