SAN Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick has released the first public image of Jarryd Hayne training with 49ers teammates.

Kaepernick released this image on his personal Instagram and Twitter accounts, depicting Hayne after a pre-season drill with himself, Niners running back Alfonso Smith and a number of other NFL players at the EXOS training facility in Arizona.

“We have a dream to be your worst nightmare!” Kaepernick wrote while pinging Hayne’s personal social media accounts.

Hayne has wasted little time getting down to business in the US. The former Parramatta Eels superstar only departed Sydney on Monday and has been battling the after effects of the long haul flight.

Kaepernick is regarded as one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL and signed a $US126 million extension with the 49ers after leading them to consecutive NFC championship games.

David Fucillo, writing for the Niners Nation website, was intrigued by the prospect of Hayne training with Kaepernick, but believed the Australian may have derived more playing insight from other players at the Arizona training camp.

“The picture includes (Seattle) wide receiver/returner Ricardo Lockette and running back Alfonso Smith,” Fucillo wrote. “I don’t expect either to be able to teach Hayne all the nuances of the positions, but they both have experience that could be valuable for Hayne.

“That raises the question of whether Hayne should wait to learn more running back skills from Tom Rathman, or if it is worth talking with Smith and Lockette. Neither has emerged as a big player in the league, but they each have actual football experience.”

 Hayne's rig needs a lot of work if he's going to be seen in photos like this.

I think what it does highlight is that Hayne won't be able to switch back to the NRL straight away.

Those guys are all speed and power athletes.. Those muscles are useless and in fact hinder you in an endurance sport.

Hayne's body at the moment is built for endurance. He doesn't have all that explosive muscle that feeds on loads of oxygen to keep it going.

He won't be able to jump back in to the NRL with all that muscle. He will probably have to undergo his toughest NRL pre-season ever to build his endurance back up.

Perhaps the 49ers need to spend less time working on their rigs and more time working on plating football

They are all to busy scurrying off the sinking ship to work on playing football... Hayne looks like the fat kid at school

Hayne doesn't pass the eyeball test. The Hayne Plane looks more like a 747 while the other look like a Concorde

Hayne is just as huge as the others in that picture, people mistaking "Abs" for hugeness, not having abs means nothing,Hayne is as strong as all of them if not stronger.

Abs are just for the ladies and do nothing to make you stronger or tougher, its all for show.

Hayne 1
Abs 0
