Come and celebrate Australia Day with your Pirtek Parramatta Eels, at Parramatta Park on Tuesday, January 26.

The entire NRL squad will attend, with your favourite players scheduled to appear between midday and 3.00pm during the huge annual celebrations in the heart of Parramatta – and every Eels fan is invited.

In addition to the players’ appearance there will be skills clinics, games and an appearance by members of the 2010 Cheer Squad. Exclusive 2010 merchandise will also be available.

You will also have the chance to become a member for the 2010 season and help the Eels become the first NSW/ACT based club to reach 10,000 members and win a prize from the NRL worth $50,000!

Parramatta Park is the hub of celebrations on Australia Day in western Sydney and the Pirtek Parramatta Eels are looking forward to seeing you there.

I was tipped into this yesterday at the BGA store, but I was waiting for something official and a time.

Has anyone gotten this on e-mail yet?

Also I heard yesterday we have over 7,000 members, but not over 7,000 ticketed members, which we need to break even on playing at Parramatta Stadium.

Hi Jodeci,

I am a leagues club member and I received an email about what is happening on Australia Day at the club. In the 3 sections of the E-mail there is no mention of the Eels.

However, with the recent election there was much talk about how many members of the LC actually care about the NRL side, and that apparently a large number of people that follow the Eels are not members of the LC, show why didn't an email go out to Members on this on?

It's all about the communication. Then again in reality most people the Friday before a potential 4 day holiday might already have their Australia Day activities planed.

we went early in the morning, they had the van selling merchandise and tents set up for memberships but left at around 11:30 so didnt see any players. It did look like the were training thou

The club will need to get in touch with the company they use for mailing lists and get this fixed
