Hi All,
Been a lurker on this forum for some years, during a visit to family in WA i will be popping over to Sydney for the 1st week of the season.
I had planned to see the Manly game at Brooky and also Roosters Souths, do i need to buy advance tickets or will pay on the gate be fine.
If the Wife lets me i also might go to watch the Tigers as well, being as i`m a Cas Tigers fan over here.

Best to order tickets online but you can get them at the gate, but it's just a waste of time.

Definitely do it online.

Hope you enjoy the games and your stay in Aus.

You would easily get a.ticket at the gate but can sometimes save money on line. Also the prepurchased tickets seem to include free public transport. Although I'm not sure if that's every game?

Welcome and enjoy the games... if you can sneak in a newtown game they are usually fun with good atmosphere, pub across the road and sone really good yerroos shops 10 min walk away.

Most clubs charge quite a bit more if you pay on the day so it may be cheaper to do it on line.None of those games will sell out but if you wanted a good seat at brookvale its probably best to pre purchase.

It's certainly not essential. Although as mentioned games at ANZ include free public transport if you pre purchase. Be warned Brookvale is not the easiest place to get to if you don't have a car but if you plan your public transport and leave plenty of time it is doable on the bus.

Many thanks for the replies guys, looking forward to the trip, been twice before to Perth but never to Sydney. We get every game live over here via Premier sports, shame i`ll only be around for week 1.

Thanks, was hoping to spend the day up in Manly and then travelling back to the city in the evening. Staying by the Central Station.

There is always tickets available at the gate, but they are a good 20-30% more expensive than buying online prior, so I'd still do that if I were you. You will also get to select an area to sit in to get a nice view.

I'd suggest Bay 33/34 for the Roosters vs Souths game at Allianz. Right in between the supporters groups for each team so best atmosphere for a neutral.

Manly game just buy GA and sit on the hill. Best view in the house

NO, but I will get them for you.

Please send $10,000 to the 1st Kenyan Bank, Account No:5917 and the tickets will be available on your arrival plus your new husband will welcome you to your new palace.

Welcome to the forums. I'm sure everyone hopes your visit will be comfortable. Another game you might wanna think about catching if you have time is Broncos v Eels at Pirtek on the thursday. Sure to be an awesome game between two decent but rusty squads.

Thanks, thought about this game but we arrive from Perth off the early morning departure so could be a little tired by the evening. One to consider on the day though.

You'll be very disappointed in the atmosphere at an NRL game compared to England, our crowds just don't do it anywhere near as well (they probably think they do, but you'll agree with me I have no doubt).

The standard of the stadiums (except brook vale) and the standard of the game you'll enjoy a lot more though I think.

Perhaps this is why people are more focused on watching, less so on singing.

As an avowed Tigers fan I suggest you give our game a miss. It'd be a shame for you to ruin your trip to Sydney by watching the dross they serve up ;-)

The fans don't have to carry on like pork chops when the action is on the field. Save the crowd antics for slow-clap borefests like soccer and cricket.

We here a lot of Aussie players say how the crowd is better over here, watched most games in NRL on telly over here and some games do seem atmospheric.
The standard of play down under has always been better, but then so is the quality of life.
Looking forward to standing on the hill at Brooky, our H&S would have a fit about that over here.
