Comment in Tele from the Finatics

page 9 in today's Telegraph

Article by Rhett Watson:

"The Sharks' official support group, the Finatics, said their numbers were down by about 90 per cent."

Obviously that's not true - give or take a few, to me it looked to be the same number of window-lickers that attend most away games.

For your information i was mis-quoted in that interview.

I was asked how many buses of Sharks supporters came out, i said 1 organised by the club and 1 by the CSSC.

I said other fans had olrganised there own way out.

I was asked what is the largest amount of buses the Sharks have sent to a Bulldogs game, i said in one of the finals a few years ago the Sharks sent 6 buses of supporters.

I did not say that the Sharks Finatics numbers were down 90%.

Why don't you pull your head in, the comments that you made during yesterdays game that were directed at us and others did not go un-noticed either.

You are a disgrace to the Sharks.

Gotta be careful with the media; they're always going to twist and spin things so that they can get their point across.

The CSSC had a fairly strict media ban on yesterday which ended up working quite ok for us, I think.

I spoke to the Australian under a false name, and and answered yes and no to questions on the CSSC Behalf.

KOTH, easy on, that comment in the paper is the reason we had a NO MEDIA rule. They turn things round way too easy.

Not mentioning any names, but a few posters on here do that! :p

EDIT: btw wazza, I hope you fired off an email, requesting an appolagy be written up about being "miss-quoted"...

I know what i said to the reporter.

I know the media twist things around to suit themselves.

It doesn't worry me at all as they said nothing hurtful towards myself, the Sharks Finatics or Sharks supporters in general.

Other members of this forum need to realise these three points aswell.

don't call me precious.

lol, leave it Wazza, you made your point, and people understand its not your fault.

If anything I blame David Simmons.

Issues? What are you talking about sweetheart?

Seems like members of the Army have issues. Besides the obvious... such as getting their saliva-drenched fingers stuck in the spokes of their wheelchairs and so forth, the Canberra trip really exposed a lot of the Finatics for what they are.

Foul-mouthed, immature, mad-at-the-world, penniless until DSP day and in need of a shower and a shave.

And that's just the women.

When you've got me shocked about bad antics at the footy, then you know something has to change.

No I dont speak for the CSSC...and I do love all Sharks fans. I just think there are improvements that must be made. Perhaps starting with a code of conduct.
