Commercials on SBS?!

I was watching 'Oz' tonight on sbs and noticed that they've introduced commercials mid-programme just like the rest of the commercial channels, rather then the traditonal 10-minutes-of-ads-between-shows they used to have. Anyone konw how long this has been going on...and why? :?

Lmao. I want a job where I can say "Sure, ads in shows people love will bring the masses running" & dumbarses believe me. Who would honestly even consider ads an attractive prospect for bringing new punters? I understand the money side but why not just be honest & say "We want some cash so we have to do it"?

It seemed like the person responsible for "inserting" the ad breaks into Oz had never seen an episode as the timing (or lack thereof) really disrupted the continuity of the episode.

Very disappointing... thin edge of the wedge I fear.

speaking tv stations killing my enjoyment of tv, the sopranos apparently isnt on nein tonight. it has been replaced by comedy inc.

as for oz, i like my violent television dramas ad free thank you very much. bastards

I noticed ads on SBS during South Park on Monday night. I've only just in the matter of the past few weeks begun watching it again (they're not new episodes though), and I was quite annoyed at there being ads during the show. I may not be watching again in future weeks as a result.
