Conference finals preview today?

Heat @ Magic
Spurs @ Lakers

Is this a preview to the conference finals? For the East I don't think so I think it'll be Boston but for the West I think this is a taste of things to come. Injury has weakened the Mavs and I don't see Utah or Oklahoma coming out on top of either team in a series 7.

I can't wait I love having fridays off.

Boston and Heat in the east and yeah Spurs Lakers in the West with OKC being a good chance as well.

I think it is for the West. Like you I certainly think Boston will be there in a couple months. They've had more injuries to then I think people realise (KG, Perk, Rondo, Shaq, JO & West have missed a combined 150 games). Perk in particular has played really well since coming back.

With Bass out for the Magic, it will be a hard game for them to win given they only have Dwight & Anderson up front for this game. With Dampier around to help on Howard, I'd expect the Heat to win today.

Spurs second game into their rodeo road trip will be made slightly easier by no Bynum. Should be a cracker though, let's see how Duncan goes in round 2 vs Gasol this year given he didn't have a great game when they first met. See Spurs winning - Lakers can't handle Parker.

Lebron ends the first q with 9-9 and 5-6 from the field and Richardson banks in a 3 after Howard misses both free throws. Lebron looks like he is in one of those moods I see bad things coming for the Magic.

Magic lost by four, but it was never that close. They were well and truly spanked by the Heat today and didn't look anything like a contender. Very disappointing.

The trades gave them a bit of spark, but the same problem that has held them back in the past is still there - they're a soft team and that's that. Wish Orlando had picked up Dampier to back up Dwight instead of seeing him go to the Heat!

Howard 3-13 from the paint. I know Shaq-Diesel kind of disproves this theory but the Magic just won't win championships with Howard shooting around 58% from the paint. Hack-a-Shaq will turn in to Hack-a-Howard and that'll be that.

Agree with Tiger, I'll be very susprised if Boston don't make it back to the Finals.

Agree with the West, although given on how the seedings go, maybe they'll meet earlier in the playoffs?

Lebron nearly with a 50 point triple double.

Lakers lose to a McDyess tip-in at the buzzer.
