i'm flabbergasted. nutts was the ultimate workhorse that could play 80 minutes solid and let the fancy boys in the engine room do their fancy things.

not the biggest body but a heart the size of phar lap. sure we got youngsters coming thru but we will need a couple of older harder heads in the mix.

I read somewhere today that South Sydney council has approved a 700-seat redevelopment of Redfern Oval. I assume the plan then is for us to play our home games there next season so the remaining fans have some atmosphere.

I reckon you've hit the nail on the head of the bigger picture here mate....

I'm gutted that Nuts is going.

The result for the club on the larger scale is that players simply won't come to to the sharks, not that we were already a hugely desirable club, we had to really seek and bait players to get them here, now that a player of nutelys standing in the game ( he is thought of very highly among many players in the game and counts many influential people among good mates, not to mention the fact that he is highly thought of by more than 80% of the current first grade side at the sharks) has been shown the same treatment as Peach and plenty of others before, our chances of ever enticing qualilty players to our club are decreasing to deadset laughable proportions.

Nuts is also very very good mates with at least 3 talented up and coming juniors at our club who will not look fondly upon management for this decision.

The ramifications of Nutelys release will be larger than simply losing a prop, and I am gutted, disapointed, sad, frustrated....but sadly, not surprised

Hang on, the club just can't get rid of the bloke unless he has farked up. Surely if he is leaving it's because he wants to, or he has had a major falling out with someone. I doubt they would have done an Isemonger and told him he's spending the year in reggies. Maybe he simply wants to go off to England where he can earn probably double what he is on here. A club like Castleford due to their recent promotion desperately needs a couple of quality imports and would probably pay overs to get someone.
