You guys let go of your best hooker James Segeyaro and replaced it with a mediocre one in Mitch Rein lol. Griffin and Gould should uppercut themselves.

Except they still have Wallace who was great there last season.

Rein will spend most of the season (pending Wallaces fitness) playing reggies.

They got rid of their best hooker because he was a dickhead that hung around with shady people.

Mitch Rein is a huge downgrade from Segeyaro. no doubt about that. But maybe players wouldnt be suck dickheads if more clubs acted like the Panthers here and players actually feared for their careers.

Look at Corey Norman. he was rewarded with a nice inflated contract for being a dickhead that broke the law.

Needs to find some more tricks in his bag. Don't think life managing GI is gonna get any easier either.

Not talking down GI. I'm a big fan and he's a f**king beast when he's on. I'm just not sure he can keep going week after week at fullback. Its a tough one because you'll get a bit less for longer playing him in centre but probably not the bang for your buck and involvement needed that he brings from fullback.

There is more to being an NRL player and part of a team than just ability.
You'll get the ultimate example yourself next season at the Warriors.

Everyone has dodgy friends or family members Panthers require a good Hooker or else their amazing lineup is going to be nullified.

The club should of supported him more though people have misdirection in their lives from time to time. But hey enjoy Wallace and Rein all you can best of luck

He was injured in 2015 you don't become hooker of the year 2014 then punt him for making a bad decision. You manage and support them as best you can. It's not like he had a bad record of misdemeanors he was awesome to watch. Also a good character to have in the NRL. I like the Panthers got a soft spot for them. Always wish them well when Warriors fail to make the finals lol

Yep He wasn't playing good, it's not an exaggeration to say Wallace was an improvement on Seggy when he was moved to hooker this year. He was ridiculously good in 14 and to start 15 but then he got hurt and has been average since. I dunno about his off field issues but I wasn't sad to see him released just based on his performances this year.

I think it was well documented that we did try to manage and support him, but he chose not to accept that support. In the end, he became unmanageable so we cut him loose.

Also with all our playmaking options Penrith only need a hooker to tackle and give nice early ball (something Rein cant do which makes him a horrible signing)
