He was injured for the majority of the year in fairness.

He's not terrible. The type of player who fills out a squad. I'd have not cared if he stayed at Canberra or if he left.

Probably starting prop, even though he has been coming off the bench.

Agree, I'd give him the 10 next year, even though Taylor seems to prefer starting Sue

Warriors were just doin g the Sharks a favor, this is the only way they'll be apart of grand final week anytime soon.

Good of the Warriors to give the bloke a gig, . . . maybe he'll teach them how to play 80 minute football if nothing else

It would probably be worth considering him in the 6 with lolohea off the bench.

Lolohea will be either centre/wing, so really signing Robson is more of an upgrade to the outside backs than anywhere else because Lolohea has shown a much better ability to defend than some of our other outside backs.

Id expect Lolohea to start in the centres alongside Konrad.

Kata started off strong but he's basically a shitty version of Hurrell. The bloke can't defend(like Konrad) and is hardly an attacking weapon.

He's probably got his head screwed on a little bit tighter than Hurrell but that's about it.

Kata's defense in his first year was better than Hurrell's. His attitude is also better. At the moment Hurrell is a shitty version of Hurrell, without the attitude/drive to turn it around. Hopefully he gets swift kick up the ass.

TBH I don't feel confident with either Hurrel/Kata starting as regardless we have a big weakness for the opposition to exploit, especially if they're paired with Manu.

Robson isn't flashy but I reckon he could prove to be an excellent signing for the Warriors. You know exactly what you're going to get, as opposed to SJ, who doesn't know what he's going to give you until you get it.

He could be the perfect foil for SJ. Plus it means if SJ goes down again at any stage Lolohea won't have quite so much pressure on him with Robson steering the team around.

I think Robson is the perfect foil for SJ and a great addition to the Warriors. We all know that they are masters at ad-lib footy. The likes of Isaac Luke and RTS will only improve on that ability but for a while now, they've lacked someone who can build some pressure when a set looks like it's not going to finish in a try.

Robson is that guy who doesn't get caught up in the moment. He'll play to a formula and kick to the in-goals for a repeat set. He is exactly the type of player that the Warriors lack.

I've always been a fan of Robson in the sense that like others have posted already, you know what you're going to get from him. The man knows his limitations (just like all men should according to Detective Harry Callahan).... In saying all of that, I would assert that Robson probably had his worst season in first grade in 2015. He made some uncharacteristic mistakes at times, took some really poor options on occasions.... perhaps it was just an anomaly, maybe the result trying too hard (again, uncharacteristic of him) when their season was stuck in 2nd gear in the early to mid part of the season...

In any case, I imagine he ain't costing the Warriors a fortune and he is as sound a defender as you'll find in the halves across the NRL...

If he doesn't perform, I don't doubt that Lino will be given a shot.
I'm quite a fan of Lino, but this kind of signing will be good for him, a seasoned campaigner he can learn from and be mentored from.
Townsend didn't really come across as a mentor that Lino needed

The dough Robson needs to give his daughter the best life possible will have him giving his all, something the Warriors need to learn as a group. Said it before, SJ needs to move to the centres where he doesn't have to think and Robson will still need another footy brain beside him

Did you just suggest Shaun Johnson play in the centers? Wow. You do know that it is the hardest position to defend in? And it means he would have less room to work in and touch the ball far less.

Pops has always had the blinker on when it comes to SJ. Any excuse to mention him will do.

The problem with SJ has been the Warriors structures have kept him set on one side of the field rather than being able to move either side and inject himself when he sees an opportunity. Putting him out to centre would just completely cement him on one side of the field which is completely nonsensical.

As for not having a footy brain, last season and up to when he got injured this season he was one of the leading players for earning repeat sets. Building pressure through our halves has not been our issue, it's always been our inability to convert pressure into points or release pressure with basic handling errors from our bumbling outside backs.

What about using Robson as a dominant left side half and have Johnson play a Thurston type role?
