He was included in the Australian Tri-Nations and Prime Ministers XI squad this morning. One of five panthers:

Craig Gower, Luke Priddis, Trent Waterhouse, Rhys Wesser and Craig Stapleton were all picked in the train-on squad.

Well done to Craig on an exceptional season and the hard work he has done for us this year. I was hoping your efforts would be rewarded by us....instead they were rewarded by Cronulla. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully i'll see you around the area to shake your hand.

well done to him, he has really deserved it, it was a suprise selection, but it was a smart one as well

I was at the game yesterday and I have to say that Craig had terrific game. He made some great hit ups and was one of the Penrith's best. Shame Penrith didn't keep him, he was a great buy this year.

Good to see the crowd farewelling the departing players and Langy with many heartfelt good wishes.

Best buy ever! At $37,500 you're never going to get more bang for your buck. :lol: It's a pity that we weren't willing to match what Sharks offered him though. He is easily worth $100k a season when you look at guys like Rooney getting twice that.

Agreed. It's very sad to see them go. I wish Preston had atleast gotten to finish his last game with us. Although i think Galea, Staples, Hookey and Swain all played brilliant games and will be leaving us with on a high. Hopefully Campbell is feeling good about himself too. He has been great for us this year and will be missed. That spark he had in attack cannot be replaced.

Anyways. Congrats Craig. Great work. I'm glad you're finally get recognition for the efforts. More importantly it's good to see you on the money you're worth. Or atleast close to being on the money you're worth ;-)

Resigning one of the form players for the Panthers and in the whole comp for front rowers would have been too sensible.

He would not be out of place in the green and gold if the side was picked on form over 26 rounds.
