sadly to an extent, it takes the gloss off brian smith's & the players' efforts to come from spoon position.

however any decent league supporter will acknowledge your clubs fine turnaround which indicates an organisation with a great deal of heart & character.

alas like our club's effort in '96 it wasn't to be. but i hope like me back then, the loss doesn't diminish one of league's truly great club & coaching efforts.

Well played Easts, deserving runners up. You got there and that's a better effort than the 14 other teams. 2011 is looking good for you.

In terms of reffing... a list can be drawn up both ways. The refereeing was ordinary but thankfully it evened out and didn't have a bearing on the outcome.

Congrats to all you Saints & Illawarra fans. I was at the game and it was clear that you deserved the win. Unfortunately dud calls (both ways, I mean Perrett loses it on Soward's leg, how the fk is that play on??) marred the game, but then again I think everyone who has followed league this season expected the sh*t refereeing to continue.

Nice to see the good guys like Hornby and Young get the premiership rings they have deserved.

Saints had a call go their way with the Morris foot but lets not forget the following
- Blatant knock on by Winger when fielding a kick. Ruled play on.
- Costigan ruled a knock on in the play the ball
- Creagh ruled a knock on in the play the ball
- Catnasta try was clearly a knock on.

Saints should have won by more. Roosters are pretenders. Lulia, Linnett, Perrett, Friend, Hargreaves etc are not worthy of playing in a Grand Final.
