When looking back to way back to 2003 with him being an 18 yr old, its hard to think he could achieve his two motogp world championships eight years later. Always knew he would be a success, just not to that extent.

Well done Casey Stoner, you were always headed for great things.

From who? Australians or bike fans?

If its the former then i agree - MotoGP rarely gets any media airtime Philip Island withstanding. If its the latter you might be confusing recognition with popularity...its no secret that he's not so well-liked by certain pockets within the industry.

2011 was the perfect season from a Stoner fan's perspective. World title number 2 in the bag and Rossi flailing around at the rear of the field on his beloved ducati...might be wishing he could take back a certain infamous 2010 snipe.
