i know that it may not mean much to many on here, but well done to darius for picking up fullback of the year at tonight's dally m's and only finishing 2 points behind eventual winner of the big gong todd carney.

darius is a big part of our improved attack and one of the reasons we are we are at today.

You would not think Saints won the minor premiership for the 2nd year in a row watching the awards. YOu would think Roosters wee the best team in the comp. Capt, Coach, Daly M awards. Carney got points during the 4 straight losses they had which got him over the line in the end. What a rort.

Capt and coach should of been shoe ins for the Saints.

Anyway, points are awarded by Daily Telegraph journos and we all know which team they hate.

WTF. Briam SMith Coach of the year. The rorters did finish the regular season in 6th place didn`t they ?.

Last year the Dally M was a Bulldogs wankfest and this year was a Rorter Wankfest.

Dally M's, the poor mans Brownlow Medal, both in presentation and awards. Other than Ricky Stuart, Provan & Summons, the rest of the presenters that got up there were a cringing embarassment - reading from a script like a 5 year old with a stutter.

Its an amazing effort, he was average in 2009, and noone has improved at the rate of Boyd in 2010, absolutely outstanding performance (4 games to go, gogo!).

Consider the competition too, he beat out Slater, Dugen, Hayne, Coote, Gidley & <insert another 6 outstanding NRL fullbacks here>.

I think it proved last night that Saints are a great team and don't rely on any one player. Evidenced by the fact we had a nomination in most of the categories, yet were snubbed.
Anyways, Congrats Darius. Keep up the good form through the finals series!

Yeah whatever you say morris, Carney played the first fifteen games of the season in the position of fullback, a position he had never played before. Wonder how many points Boyd would have accumulated had he played five eighth, for the first three months of the season. to call Carney's award a rort stinks of jealousy. I believe Boyd deserved to win his award, and would think little of anyone who bitched that he was an undeserved winner.
