I'll be honest & say the team i don't want to see make eighth is the Roosters because they have plenty of finals experience & Parra always seem to struggle against them. Manly would be my choice of opponent because i can't see them troubling any of the top sides although it would be great to see a local derby against Penrith.

Eels have had a softer draw than the Dragons. If we get up over the Knights on Sunday and finish equal on points with Parra, that's good enough for me to make us the number one team. Parramatta have played sides like the Dogs, Knights, Canberra, Warriors at their lowest ebbs, which has totally flattered their for and against; besides Souths in Round Nine we have barely had a gimme win. We had a softish draw during Origin, but our heavy commitments meant we couldn't take advantage of it, we've been forced to graft all season after our poor start, and at this point of the year when the big guns are supposed to be flogging the also-rans we've been drawn against a string of difficult opponents and still been recording impressive victories.

bullsh*t. Parra have had the SAME draw! We played the Broncos at their best early on, and struck Canterbury at their best too. Ditto roosters - a patchy side on '05 who were on song v us.

It all evens out. Saying Saints will be considered 'first' when they will be - at best -'second', is like Cronulla doing a lap of honour!

BTW, thanks everyone for the nice words. Except Bulldogs fans. Massive salary cap rots don't help when you have September off, do they!

The dragons for and against isn't as good because of the first 4 rounds when you go thrashed by the bulldogs, raiders and storm.

There's no such thing as a softer or harder draw. Who plays whom and when was largely decided before the season began and you can only take what you're given.

Each team's strength and weaknesses mean nothing at the start of the season and haven't we seen some upsets this season. Rabbits beating Roosters by 1  only Souths faithfuls would've been confident of that.

Who genuinely knew at the start of the season that the Knights would be battling to avoid the wooden spoon after 13 straight losses, the Rabbitohs would finish the season on a hot streak, Panthers and Roosters on the brink of the spoon and Bulldogs missing the finals? You could only take guesses at those and you'd probably be ridiculed if you said back in February that the Dogs would miss the 8.

Plenty of teams lost games they should've won, others won they should've lost, it's got nothing to do with how the games were drawn.

As an Eels fan I think we also need to say well done to the Tigers, Sharks and Sea Eagles as well.

All 4 teams were tipped towards the bottom of the NRL at the start of the 2005 season by the so called experts.

I think it has been a great season all round with South Sydney on 21 points and Newcastle making a monster comeback to currently be on 20 points.

Definately, it has been a great season and it's great to see some variety in the top 8.
