If NZ was to get a second team it would have to be broad based.Let the Warriors go back to being Auckland in blue and white ,and this new team be Black and silver and using the acronym NZ.But NZ what?Who fought the native NZ maori Warriors,the Brits or the Colonials,Pioneers,Redshirts.Just thinking outloud.Rams would be appropriate or Giants (as in Giant Moas)or being the land of the long white cloud maybe the Thunder.Or go the whole hobbit thing and go with Wizards.

Southern Taniwha...Central regions (Taranaki, Wanganui, King Country, Hawke's Bay) plus Wellington, upper SI, West Coast, CHCH - populations with fans that are used to doing a long haul for their league - based in WN & CHCH (to pull the real southerners) & the travel is no more than what Storm, Cowboys etc do - less than an hour to AK, 2.5-3 to Sydney (or thereabouts), 4 to Melb, Townsville etc
