Conspiracy theory?

What's the go with Bennett and Gould still overlooking Raiders players for Origin selection?

Canberra are equal first but yet we cannot manage to get one player selected while Terry Hill is now mentioned as a shadow player along with Steve Menzies.

I know Gould likes to stick with his mates and the "tried and true" formula but how the hell are NSW going to be successful in the coming years if we don't blood any new forwards?

I've really lost interest in the Origin series because NSW and QLD never pick the side on form.

The only Qld player in the Raiders side that could consider himself unlucky is Clinton Schihoweveryouf**kingspellitske. The Maroons have said why, they want specialist wingers, and have stayed true to that with Sing and Hegarty on the wings. And I see Bowen as a player more able to exploit tired forwards from the bench.

As for the Blues, if they are stupid enough not to select guys like O'Hara, Woolford, Davico and Croker, being a Qld fan, who am I to complain :D

The Raiders had a chance to show they deserved selection against a Brisbane side with a stack of players backing up. They failed.

If anyone wants to hear my theory here it is. Gould has only picked two or three Superleague players in the NSW squad. Does anyone find that strange?

Minichello - ARL
Tahu - ARL
Lyon - ARL
Gidley - ARL
Devere - Superleague
Timmins - ARL
Johns - ARL
Ricketson - ARL
Fitzgibbon - ARL
Kennedy - ARL/Superleague (previously played with Canberra)
Ryles - ARL
Buderus - ARL
Kearns - Superleague

Wing - ARL
Fletcher - ARL
Bailey - ARL
Bailey - ARL/Superleague (previously played with Manly)

Then we have Terry Hill and Steve Menzies both as shadow players, both ARL players. Why not have Scott Hill, Ryan O'Hara, Joel Clinton, Craig Gower or Luke Davico in the side? All come from Superleague aligned clubs.

Paranoia or conspiracy?

Gould is the type to hold a grudge and his dislike of News Ltd, the underwriters of Superleague, is well documented.

He's only chosen 3 players whose surname ends with a vowel

And they are all backs, the plot thickens

seriously though, Gould does hold grudges and it would not shock me one bit to find that he did bass alot of his selections on the superleague war.

Dosent NSW have a panel of selectors?? The coach is a selector!!
Shouldnt he get the team he wants and thinks he can win with?
Dosent his record speak for itself?
B4 Gould selection for NSW was purely on form and we got our asses kicked year after year!!
He does things like QLD (create a culture and bond between a core of regulars) and we start winning!!
Arent all the players picked in good form and have proven themselves in the past as either origin, test or GF winners??

Lets just hope when Gus gives it away, cos of whingin tools like you wenches, a L Daley and/or a R Stuart take over and not a B Smith or a G Murray. Imagine origin in THE WRONG hands??
Ignorant!!!

I think legends point is a fair call.
GUS has proven how childish he can be with his dummy spit over news limited journos how do we know he doesnt take that attitude with him when it comes to former employees of news aka super league players.

Yeah, all the time, love, affection and money at the Roosters, yet no premiership. A year later Graham Murray gets them to the Grand Final, a much improved side.

Bullshit. You truly show how much of a KFC Fried Chook you are here, as a Gus lover "he can do no wrong". If you're telling me Perry, Tahu, Gidley, Timmins & Ricketson are in good form, you have to be kidding me. Wayne Pearce wasn't that bad, look what he did with the side in 2000. At least he was a gentlemen who made better selections. And none of the players I mentioned are good at Origin or Test level, or played well in G/Fs.

[qupte]Lets just hope when Gus gives it away, cos of whingin tools like you wenches, a L Daley and/or a R Stuart take over and not a B Smith or a G Murray. Imagine origin in THE WRONG hands??

Goose Gould is the whinging tool, not us.

Yeah, imagine Origin in the wrong hands of Daley, Stuart or Smith. There's only one man for the job and that's Graham Murray.

Schifcofske has his chance in front of Bennett in the Canberra v Brisbane game and was quiet all day. I do tend to agree that Schifcofske really is a specialist fullback, the only gripe I had with the original team is that Bennett gave that reason but O'Davis was still picked on the wing.

As for NSW, O'Hara and Davico must surely be on the fringe of selection.

I'm the first to admitt that Tahu and Gids are not in form, and I'm a huge fan that's loves that's there's 6 players in the squad... but others are in more form than them.
Wayne Pearce was the best they had, they should not have got rid of him, he was great.

Wayne Pearce was no good imo. This really showed when they got rid of the unlimited interchange.
