Just on Sportstab during lunch and had a look at the market for the wooden spoon.

The prices are currently

Do you notice the anomaly ?

This market has been suspended at the time of writing this.

Are the Roosters facing a salary cap incident ala the Bulldogs, is it a misprint, or something else easily explained ?

Have punters got a source who have revealed the Roosters will be losing all their points shortly, and as such will still have the chance to take over the teams quoted at a smaller price ?

All the other markets, Grand Final winner, Top 4 , Top 8 and Minor Premier are still open. This is the only suspended one. The TAB wouldn't mind people betting on the Roosters in these options because if they do lose their points the TAB won't have to pay punters out if they've backed the Roosters.

Its a big stretch as I've heard no rumours about anything untoward but its seems very strange.

very interesting.. according to the thread on the nrl forum on this site it was a massive drop.. from 500/1 down to it's current spot of 50/1
it's a dramtic drops.. and going off a rumour on the radio... should be interesting or could be nothing

Yeah there has been a massive plunge on the Roosters to take the spoon by way of points stripped ala Bulldogs in the wake of a rumoured salary cap investigation and subsequent breach. All rumours mind you.

Centerbet have them at $67 now - and if it was a typo then they would fix it up and not suspend betting like they have done with all betting agencies

Sportodds, Sportstab, WillHill, Centerbet, Sportsbet have either suspended betting or have removed those markets from their sites for the time being - and when you email then they say they are current awaiting feedback from sources regarding the market

Something has taken place and I say being how big this is effecting all agencies it is more than just a rumour

They don't suspend betting on a typo. Sports tab have them at 51 and centrebet now at 41. Something is going on.
