Contentious refereeing decisions.

FF...... the game is being over refereed at present, yet..... they miss some big things and or make mistakes on simple plays.

I don’t like seeing any team ( except Storm) being ripped off. I like a fair game that the refs are seen but not heard.

Today’s refs are drama queens.

The refs of today are trying to be stars in their own right and talk to the players like shit I agree 100% should be seen and not heard perenara,badger and Ashley Klein the worst for it imo

Don’t blame the refs, blame the system. They’re just enforcing some of the dumber rules the NRL has.

It's the inconsistency of the refs with the quick tap though.
Sometimes they let it go, sometimes they pull them up, and now t just inside the 20 like they are supposed too.

No one expects refs to be perfect but for f#ck sake the ref was 1 metre away. If the dope was paying attention he would seen croker

Let's face it, the coaches have caused these problems, they coach to cheat for any possible advantage and Bellamy is the master at it and good luck to him. I also agree that Harrigan is also at the root of all the current referee woes including the 2 referee system which is an appalling blot on the game, and he helped Melbourne home in 99 so will never be forgiven anyway. Touch judges are not very good at picking up forward passes either, certainly a lot less capable than the video ref would be at it. Just rambling here, so frustrated with refereeing. Commentators piss me off too.

Harrigan and Bellamy , what a combination ! Throw in the bunker plus , as you said the 2 referees and it is a recipe for disaster which has brought the game down to the level it is now at .
Rugby League was not meant to be played nor officiated as it now is , I have said this before , but - the powers to be have ' Americanized ' our game and as a result it is simply no longer the spectacle it once was .

I am not a fan of the quick tap rule. I think that quick taps should definitely not be allowed within 20m of the opposition try line, instead of 10m out. I also think that if a player takes a quick tap, and one of their own players is in front of them, then it should be scrum with the feed going to the team who didn't take the quick tap.

I agree the referee should enforce the rules which dictate that there should be a scrum with the feed to the non offending team. None of this bullshit do overs.

I reckon that some bad decisions are not mistakes....it's referee rorting.

For all the bad calls, and there were quite a few, I cannot think of a single game where the better side lost. The Cowboys maybe, but a big maybe, they were outplayed for 60 minutes but came back late only to throw it away with poor defence followed by pot plant play on their own line.
