I am no fan of Lafai but lets all wait until all the facts are in instead of hanging him out to dry.
Just on nine news that havili allegedly belted some guy he has stiches and bruising. Will not hang him or Lafai untill I here full story. Interested to see what did happen

If they are drunk, disorderly and convicted of brutality they should be dismissed like
Nielsen. Lui is the best of these players. The other two are slow and ponderous and rob local players of a Cutters position. We buy too many depth players who are second rate and who are not up to First Grade standard.

By all means sack him for the right reason which is because he is a dud footballer but for punters on here to say sack him without knowing the facts and in the next breath want to take Corey Norman means these type of supporters are as big a joke as the team.

Lafai's a dud. Norman isn't. If we had the clubs best interests in mind we should find anything we can use against Lafai to sack him. Frankly, I'm not interested at what's the moral thing to do. I want what's best for the club, not Timoteo Lafai.

You can't sack players due to on-field performance.

Ridiculous comment. I don't think you comprehend how much a good culture assists in building success in sport or in business for that matter. You need to be consistent with off field indescretions irrespective of the quality of the player.

Firing players for misconduct off-field is antithetical to building a good culture? All that does is command total obedience from out players off the field.

If Timoteo Lafai has done something that's contrary to his contract we should definitely use that to get rid of him. And we have every right too.

There's plenty of inconsistencies and double standards in the NRL regarding off-field behavior and the consequences. Example: If Tim Lafai was at the Roosters and he did what Mitchell Pearce did to that dog, he would've been fired in a heartbeat.

If the club wants you, you'll get a fine and a match suspension. If they don't, you get the sack.

Lui wasn't even there.

Ah, coast_dragons, he didn't say Lui was there, he said that, Lui is the best of a bad bunch of players bought by the club, the other 2 are slow and ponderous, meaning Lafai and Havilli, you need to read the post properly before making comment.

1Dragons players Siliva Havili and Tim Lafai.

The NRL Integrity Unit has been notified of a drunken Wollongong nightclub brawl involving at least two St George Illawarra Dragons players in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police arrested two men aged 23 and 25 near late-night Atchison Street haunt Fever Nightclub about 5am.

Earlier, a Port Kembla man left the street in a taxi with blood streaming from his head.

A witness has told the Mercury the man was injured when Dragons player Siliva Havili, ran at him and – catching him unaware - hit him to the head.

The man fell to the ground, hit his head on the roadside and was knocked unconscious.

Security personnel had broken up an earlier “scuffle” between a group of the injured man’s friends, and a group that included Dragons players Havili, Tim Lafai and Dunamis Lui, the witness said.

The fighting continued after the injured man departed.

Wollongong police stopped two men aged 23 and 25, and gave them a move-along direction.

Police say the pair were allegedly involved in an altercation with a group of males on Crown Street at short time later.

Police intervened, and the two men were arrested after failing to comply with directions.

Both men were taken to Wollongong Police Station and issued with infringement notices for continuing intoxicated behaviour after a move-on direction.

The Dragons were made aware of the incident on Monday, a club spokesman said.

“St George Illawarra Dragons were today made aware that certain contracted players were involved in an incident that occurred in Wollongong on Saturday night”.

“The Club and individuals concerned are cooperating with Police with their enquiries.”

Havili played a Test for New Zealand in 2014 and two games for Tonga, as well as 14 NRL games for the Warriors before shifting to Wollongong at the end of last season.

He played 10 games for the Dragons at lock and hooker this year and was part of the Illawarra Cutters NSW Premiership team on Saturday, alongside Lafai and Lui.

St George Illawarra then played against Wests at ANZ Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Lafai moved to the Dragons from the Bulldogs this season and has played 16 games, before being dropped to the Cutters this month.

More to come.

Most of us here are thoroughly disappointed with our team's football performances throughout the season. However this story if proven to be an accurate record of the facts is far more serious and just makes me sick! Three relegated footballers, all bought to the club this year, out carousing at 5 am after a NSW Cup loss rather than thinking about a determined effort to lift their form and regain selection in the top grade. Over the whole history of the joint venture it is my belief that we have been relatively free of scandals compared to other clubs. I for one hope that if any of the three is found guilty of violence that he is quickly removed from the club's ranks.

In the report in the Illawarra Mercury and SMH Lui's name is mentioned along with Lafai and Havili. Havili is the only one thus far accused of aggression.

What good comes from being "out" at 5am?

This is a display of poor discipline within the group.

This is the behaviour that typifies our spirit on the field.

Typifies that the players no longer respect the coach, or management either, they will probably be happy if they get sacked, they probably did it on purpose so they dont have to put uo with Mcgregor anymore.

Straight shooter.

Mary was a low range drink driving offence which isn't a good look but to compare to a player punching some one and knocking them to the ground is laughable.

Yes they should be sacked and Mary should have been to and hopefully he will be.

Lui has been mentioned but wasn't arrested so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Its possible he went home on his own.

We sign B grade outsiders who have no interest in the club or there careers.

Dropped to reggies and instead of training hard to make it back they are out at 5am.

Sack the lot of them and start signing promising youngsters who actually want to play for this once great club.

Time to sack management and the coach. Calling for a revolution.
