Cordner is Overhyped

I don't understand why he is a certainty for first grade. Sure he has heart and one day he'll be a permanent fixture in the Easts side but I wouldn't guarantee him a spot in the top 17 yet. I can't remember him doing anything outstanding in attack or defence and for some reason people here love him for reasons unknown (being a young guy?). I think his development would be better if he spent some time in Newtown.

It's not about criticism...it's about revving someone too early when he needs more polish...Boyd has plenty of time to learn & grow before dumping leadership aspirations on him.

I'm sure we all suspect that he is a rep player of the future if he is brought thru in good time...and a long term loyalist...just relax.

And i admit that i have a vested interest in Cherrington being injury free and a serious First Grade asset...he is a fellow Waverley College old boy.

I had a word with Cherro recently and he is in good spirits after finishing last season at the Jets and his almost complete preseason, He's looking lean mean and very fit and if all goes well could be the x factor that opposition coaches/teams haven't considered. Having both SBW and Cherro at their best in 2013 would be spectacular!
