Could a woman play in the NRL?

Mate....I used to run the Women's grade at Auckland Rugby League and I could tell you exactly what would happen but it wouldn't make pleasent reading....

No woman in the world could make it in the NRL. Not one. Just like no woman will ever ever cut it in the SAS or Commandos and very few will ever make it in the Infantry. Why? Because women are physcially weaker, slower and less fit. Women posess something like 80% less testosterone than men. Testosterone is what makes us strong.

I don't know if there are any formal rules preventing it - isn't NRL an 'open' competition anyway - no restrictions on size, weight, age etc.

There is next to no chance of it happening due to the physicality of the game, but I don't think it's impossible. I've seen some very scary Maori women, and plenty of chicks play touch/oztag.

Realistically though, if a woman were to play NRL, the only position I can see her playing would be on the wing.

Couldnt argue with this spot on man. I couldnt give a rats ass how high a women gets in league, whether she plays for kiwis or aus if she came up against me on the field i would rip her a new one.
