Could Pat Richards make the GB squad?

Could Pat Richards be a outside chance to make the GB squad? I am pretty sure he has delcared his alliegance to Ireland, so one would presume he is open to selection to play for GB this year or the next, so would Brian Noble and GB selectors pick him? He has been one of the standout wingers all year for mine and on form he would blow away 95% of wingers in the ESL.

If he's elligible and they leave him out, they're fools.

Carney owns the right wing with Gleeson, and Richards on the left with Senior, that'd be a pretty great 3/4 line right there.

Maybe next year, once the GB coaching staff and selectors have had a better look at him compared to other wing contenders. But definitely not out of the realms of possibility in the future.

Good luck to Pat, he's had a terrible run with injuries over the years, and now I just hope he gets and enjoys a good healthy off-season before starting duties for Wigan.

if they dont pick him they are kidding themselves i think he would of gone close the the aussie team but he says he wants to play for Ireland if the selectors have any idea they will pick him if he fit that is eg ankle injury as i dont think he would of played if it wasnt the gf.

If he's eligible and fit he's gotta be picked. i'm sad to see him leave aus. I reckon he's been the best winger in the nrl this year

I can't see why the GB selectors wouldn't select him unless that ankle is still troubling him, infact if he stayed in the NRL he would of been pushing for a roo's jersey next year imho.

The question is: Is he willing to take part in the European Nations if GB snubbs him this year? I somehow doubt it...

What about Keiron Cunnigham and Ieystn Harris then? I am pretty sure don't have to play for Wales unless it is a World Cup.

Im pretty sure the one of them will. Depending who gets knocked out this week, and who is excluded from the GB squad. Wales, for the Euro Championship, are going to at least have one of them, for at least one game I think.
