A few historical questions a request here
firstly, who did you guys play in your last match in the top flight? Was Warren Ryan still coach then? And when was Tommy's final year, 82?

The request - any of you have a copy of the verison of 13 men all dressed in blue performed by prominant Newtown fans Frenzal Rhomb?

Off the top of my head Red Bear , we won our last game ever in 1983, I cannot recall against who without looking it up somewhere. Our last coach was Brian Chicka Moore in 1983. Tommy wasn't with us in 83, and I'm pretty sure he was not with us in 82 either.

Our last game in 1983 was against Canberra at Campbelltown and we won something like 9 - 6.

Tommy's last year was in 1982. I think our only major player loss after the '81 GF was Geoff Bugden to the Parrasites!

Did Brian HETHERINGTON go to the Steelers in 82? I recall Allan McMahon played centre for us with Mick Ryan in 82.

Found a Rugby League stats site that shows Newtown beat Canberra @ Cmpbeltown 9-6. Last game @ Henson Pk lost 34-6 v Balmain . I was there. Tommy Raudonikis lost game was 3rd grand final loss to Parra. Team included Michael Shechley & Branco D'Jura.

Yeah Greg, your right Hetho went to Illawarra in 1982. I remember yelling at him at Henson in 1982 when he was standing in the in-goal area waiting for Kenny Wilson to kick another conversion that he had made the wrong decision.

Newtown thrased Illawarra that day 51-0.

Yeah good day that one Bluebag43. I was there also. I remember Alan McMahon throwing an inside flick pass for the first try from a slick backline movement from a scrum win. Funny the things you remember over time.

Yet to be determined 2TB. I can't see it happening this year to be honest. Next year though is a chance. My 11yo son is constantly at me saying he wants to go to Henson Park. Not bad for an 11 year old Queenslander to be a bluebag supporter (slight influence from old man). My last 2 games were at Kogarah and WIN. The next will definitetly have to be Royal and Ancient Henson!
