Covell vows to train even harder

I was speeking to luke covell this last week and he told me that he would be upping his fitnes regeeme over the bye to propare for his mighty matchup against NRL competition leader the Brisbane Broncos.

He felt like his slump in form was down to some slight complaicency at training and that he needed to hit the weights for some strengt work as well as run a few laps arownd the oval.

He told me that he will leeve the doubters in no doubt at all with a top class display agenst the Broncos.

Altho he wont be marking Bronco speedster Leon Bott he will be keen to sho that hes the 'next big thing' as far as wingers go and not Bott.

What a champion! :D

luke covell is arguabely the best kicker in the nrl, if not the world. he strikes his ball like no other kicker in the world. remember the guy has only played a bunch of first grade games. he will only get better

on seing luke covell at training this week then i think that is gr8. it good 2 c he will train harder. he reminds me a bit of peter sterling, he wasnt the quickest guy or nothing but he trained the housedown, with the dream of 1 day bein the best

covel was unlucky last week, he hit the post once and just missed with another, and he got the other two. He is a big step up from noddy. And he is potentially the best kicker. He his the ball harder than anyone in the league.

What is it with goalkickers and attention? Rogers was the same, the bloke used to win MOTM on the Sharkies website every week, even when he didn't play.

Personally I like Covell but he has so many minions on this forum its crazy! Shame the more deserving blokes like Nutley & Gallen don't generate the same level of vocal support.

I can assure you that Nuts & Gallen get much more vocal support at the games than Covell. The exception being kicks for goal obviously.

the only complacency shown is in the syntax by the Covell fan club.

Uhuh......

Bout Covell, he really is a champion isnt he, Ive heard some whispers that his arm folding technique before kicking the ball could become the next big thing since Riddells arm..........
