Cowboys Game

That was about as abysmal as it gets. We are in a world of hurt with unorganised attack like that. As stated earlier, our defence was on early and we were right in the game(even with the dud call against) but our attack is so bad and all over the place that we just had no answer and frustrated oursleves out of it. Tackles start dropping off and next minute, its a hiding. We really suck at the moment!

I thought Cronulla was our worst performance of the year.. I was wrong.

Our defence will not be our saviour. The recent pressers have been all about out D. The focus should be on our attack. We have NONE! Our defence is not a work in progress...it is just non-existent. Pathetic.

If I'm not mistaken that loss tonight will just about make us the worst defensive side in the comp as well as the worst attacking side..... The talk about "D" is a smoke screen

It a bit harsh to bring the knives out. But it's fair to say that we are very, very ordinary in attack. I'm a Mary fan, he seems acgood man manager and has the respect of the players. But honestly, the buck has to stop with the head coach on this one. They are disorganised and sloppy in attack. It's a real worry when you can't complete 70% when you're largely playing one out footy. It's a worry.

I thought they played as well as they have anytime over the past five seasons, except for the abysmal handling.
The only problem is that most of other teams have improved as attacking units.

Good defence is a necessartity but to let 36 points in with simple handling errors that are undefendable means you are on a hiding to nothing.

Depending on the size of the defeat next week will determine if McGregor has no choice but to make changes.

And my first change would be to bring McCrone in, and it's up to McGregor to find a new spot for Marshall or Widdop.

I think it's going to be a very long winter.

"Dragons didn't offer much"
Good on you JT, tell it how it is.

Interesting comment from Anasta after post match show, saying other teams don't respect us..Flannagan stated same thing after Sharks game...we don't play direct, and we looked so flat...going into this game expecting to lose.

Trying to stay positive but..........................

There has to be changes, somewhere either coaching staff or players. No excuses like "it's always tough to play in N Qld" or "we played the quality team of the comp and we weren't good enough on the night" etc etc etc that's rubbish!!!!
Time for everyone, coaches included to take a good long hard look at themselves and ask themselves the hard questions.
At the moment Marry couldn't coach N Qld if the roles were reversed. If Paul Green was our coach we probably win that game.

For the game against the Broncos, I would expect lots of personnel changes. Bring in Milne for a start and maybe even demote a few of our underperformers aka Cooper (just runs to the line and gets tackled, no offload no speed) PM had his chance today to really cement his place, but it's time to revisit the Cutters.
The fact that every game Benji has played this year we have lost and each game McCrone played we won, I think there's a message there and I'm not saying McCrone is the answer either.

Male changes to the team or make changes to the coaching staff........which one will it be Dragons!!!!

A dismal day all round for the club.

Mounties flogged the Cutters 50 - 16, with injuries to Mann and Ikahihifo.

NYC towelled 38 - 18 by the Cowboys.

Times are tough in camp ATM.

Please do not blame Benji. Widdop was crap also and the forwards did not aim up.We had a 35 year old pensioner named Thurston giving these so called Superstars a lesson on how to play.
I have no idea what we can do but at least I will turn up,which is more than I can say about these imposters masquerading in the big Red V.

Its not hard to bring the knives out when we serve up that rubbish...20 from 33 sets approx. is crap in anybodys language ..we have no shape , we have no urgency, we have no game plan, we get defeated to easily when decisions go against us....and Im afraid we seriously need to address our points for....20 points in the last 4 games is rubbish...and to be honest The Cowboys were nowhere near their best tonight

Spot on .... Soon as a team scores 12 points or we are chasing 2 tries we are gone... Coaching staff need to be looked at we offer zero in attack and defense is shot as well....

I don't think anyone is saying Benji played any better or worse than most of the team, just that what ever the problem is , is not getting any better.

Best players for me were Aitken (never stopped trying, and pulled off some great tackles), Thompson, DeBelin, Frizell and Dugan.

As far as I'm concerned the bench offered nothing.
