I can't wait to post this thread when we beat St Goerge.
We improved heaps tonight in certain areas & when it comes together & it will, it is going to look sweet.
BTW when do you guys play Souths?

Positives.

A good debut by Jason Williams. Nice catch by Simmons. We have less penalties away, but our ball control was poor.

McGoldrick has to go! He did nothing before he went to union, did nothing when at union and is doing nothing now!!!!

I'm trying hard to avoid being suicidal. ;-)

Our defence actually seemed quite good tonight. With the amount of ball the Cowboys had through our mistakes, and the way they played (how good was that inside pass for the Bowen try by the guy being tackled by Peach) I thought we were OK. Just no luck and no confidence in attack.

And with no props it was always going to be hard. Was that an elbow on Beattie? Hard to see from the other end.

Jason Williams had a good game - finally a forward who can offload - as did Simmons apart from letting in that try at the end, and Vagana was good when he got the ball.

The crowd was pathetic, both in numbers (9500) and noise.

I agree sullyfan about McGoldrick, we have no hope while he is in first grade. Great effort, always highly involved, and is improving, but not a first grader.

I think we should give Jason Kent a go. He's nothing flash, but he did the job in defence of several occassions last season.

let's face we're having a horror run with injuries and suspension. Hhere are some of the players we had missing tonight.

Gallen
Lomu
Stevens
Merrit
Beattie
Bird

Last season we were losing games with our best team on the paddock. I'll judge our season after we get our best team on the paddock.

Sorry Sullyfan the only players that tried today in my opinion was Nutley and Williams.

Yeah I knew Easter would keep it down, but I thought there'd be more for Vagana's first game, and one of our few possible victories this season.

There was no home ground advantage at all, and no home ground penalties. Shayne Hayne didn't even get a boo, except for one guy sledging him. The players were terrible but the crowd did not help them at all.

They seriously need to consider tickets being no more than $10 for the rest of the year.

  top stuff lolesi.

I was in the seats in front... can't remember much of it something along the lines of "you're a dead man Hayne!" and "you're gonna die tonight Hayne!" ... death was a repetitive theme. :D
