Out of his depth by a long way.

Will make SBW look like Dan Carter in comparison.

I bet you don't like the term breakaway either.

5/8 has been an Aussie rugby term for years, and always will be. Interchangeable with No 10 or flyhalf - although flyhalf is not really a traditional Aussie term for the position.

Same as second-rower. Same as lock / No8.

Gee, he was promising for the first half of the game, then just turned to sh*t.

Gower was more impressive than I thought he'd be. A couple of clever kicks, very reminiscent of a league half back, and some solid defence when they ran at him. Poor defence when decisions were required and a diabolical long kicking game were major weaknesses, along with the garbage service he got from both half backs.

The Italian forwards were impressive. Big, mobile & agressive. Their backs were awful. If the Wallabies weren't so intent on sticking to a game plan to practice for the upcoming tests then we might have seen a lot more tries out wide.

Gower was hardly a laughing stock. Then again, as an ex-Kangaroo, quality should be expected.
