Hearing Weidler on TFS tonite stating Craig Wing wants a 4 year deal with anyone (but preferably the Roosters) @ 300k per annum makes me think that he may just be overstating himself???
I actually laughed...see, it is humorous.

Well past his best, he'll have to play union or the cat-walk to get half of that.

300k for a great hooker?

He can get to his best form with a deacent club. He is definately the number 2/3 hooker in his best form. Id take farrah, smith and Buderus over Wing, but none other. Definately worht 300k at a deacent club. Id go as far to say as id take Wing over Priddis.

He was about the only player who looked more threatening than a lost kid from the Short Bus last week. He'd be worth it in a team with a coach that has a clue...ie-Not Ando or Sticky.

Show me some form if you want me to show you the money. People talking about "at his best" are talking his form of 2-3 years ago at least.

I still rate him just not at 300, for a 4 years i would be looking at 225- 250- max

He can't even pass on both sides of his body properly.

Craig Wing has not performed for 3 years now. Even in 2004 when they made the GF he underperformed. I would have George Ndaira in firsts now at the Roosters

A change of club might be what he needs. He doesnt look like he is enjoying his footy with the roosters.
Wouldnt mind seeing him at the dogs.

Do you think a new club would give him a 4 year gig though.....is he asking too much there?

4 years is a long time, but the dogs need a hooker and he is the only decent one on the market.

It seems like Wing has been declining/disinterested/wanting out for a few years now.

If that's the case, he'd do well to lower his asking price. A 4 year contract at 250K for a former international might be achievable. 300 is probably overs all things considered.

Hello England....?

England would be his best chance at a 4 year contract, but that would stuff up his tv duties back here would it not?
I'm not sure what he still does for fox 8, but sure he is involved with them somehow.
