Crichton elbows player in the face - Roosters penalty?

We made 13 errors last night so that is 13 times in one game the ref didn't have the mindset you are alleging.

now now, when the roosters golden era ends and the sombrero fly's off you'll see what its like for all the other teams in the comp merely making up the numbers

Except the stats back up that it was reffed the same.

Anyways we were poor last night and lost the game.

Plenty to work in and time to move in to next week.

Not even, close, compare the redzone tackles, and the Roosters were treated with kid gloves.

There tactics are blight on the game and need to be stamped out.

Your eyes would have to painted on to not see this.

Sorry but the stats don't say what you want them to.

Context, where and when the penalties were awarded but it’s understandable that premise is a tad too difficult for you to grasp.

Perfect example, Raiders playing the ball 2m out from the roosters line, JWH slowing the play the ball down. Gets to his feet then pushes the Raiders player back to the ground. That is a penalty every day of the week. Whistle nowhere to be seen. The reality is, as hard as it may be to accept, you got the rub of the green last night, it was obvious.

The victim mentality, as predictable as it is pathetic. Have you been reading Mals book “Rats’n filth”?

No victim mentality here. That’s more for fans who think they get rough treatment from refs when they play us or Storm. I’m doubting your neutrality.

How? Because I dare have an opinion on one topic that doesn’t fall on the side of the Roosters.

I would agree with you on the JWH one.

What did you think of the Crighton and Cordner penalties?

It's strange

Half the people on here believe we cheat the cap to the extent they have no reasonable chance to compete with us yet we still need the help of the refs to beat their inferior teams apparently.

When they stop sprouting the salary cap and ref stuff and start extending sympathy to us, you know we are really up shit creek.

equally as bad was josh morris pretending to jump from a burning building and being awarded a penalty.

it is absolutely pathetic that when a play doesn't work for the roosters or storm the ref's automatic mindset is that the opposition must have done some foul play.

I hope when he retires as they're talking about what a fantastic player he was they also show that footage of him becoming a cat and trying to milk a penalty, more fans will remember that embarrassing dive than they will any tries that he may have scored.

Is it possible you hate the Roosters? I bet you do and you’re probably not as diligent watching the Raiders defend their end zone as you are watching the Roosters. We all do it. I do it when the Broncos play but I don’t pretend that my opinion is honest and without bias. I do it for laughs.

I see your argument, but it’s inconsistent with how tacklers are treated. The onus is always on the tackler to avoid contact with the head, so any contact, even accidental, is penalised.

I would argue that if you’re going to start throwing elbows around to get the tackler off you, then the same rule should apply. Accident or not, Crichton didn’t have to make that motion with his elbow. If he wants to, he should be responsible for the outcome.

I'm happy with that

Is there anywhere that redzone tackles and set restarts are collated, other then the broadcasters on screen stats?

Definitely can't find it on NRL.com.

Not even a roosters fan but my god some people have a severe case of tall poppy syndrome. Comparing the Cordner and Wighton incidents is absolutely laughable and whilst the Cordner incident was a harsh call it was technically a penalty by the letter of the law, but I like how everyone ignores the Wighton penalty which is very soft and lead to a try. People actually think the refs are making up rules to favour the roosters, like the high tackle on Morris, sure he fell into but that's been a penalty for a number of years now.

You’re wrong, I love watching them play. Benchmark for the past 3 seasons. In my list of hated clubs Roosters don’t even deserve consideration. Keep trying though. :thumbsup_tone2:
