CSI: New York

CSI: New York is being 'introduced' via CSI: Miami next week.

What does everything think? Personally, I'm a massive fan of Miami. I don't have much time for Vegas, but I do like Miami.

I also think 2 CSI is plenty, otherwise it'll be a bit too much like Law and Order, which has a thousand different versions.

Law and Order
Law and Order SVU
Law and Order Criminal Intent

And I'm sure there was an LA one which bombed.

Is a CSI New York too excessive?

I'll probably watch it, despite the feeling that it will end up a glorified NYPD blue with a hint of Criminal Intent and Monk splashed in.

CSI is shit-house anyway booyah.

Law and Order SVU is the only decent show out of any of the above.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is shit, most definantly.

Miami however, is much better. I don't know what makes it better, but it just is. I don't think it's David Caruso's acting, although he does have his moments.

I can't stand the main guy from Miami.

CSI is the best.

However put CSI in front of any town and I'll still watch it 8)

I don't go out of my way to watch any of them, but if I'm not doing anything I'll normally watch CSI. I'd say I prefer the original over Miami, partly because it's darker and partly because Caruso over-acts.

I only got into CSI earlier this year, until then I'd never seen even a minute of it. I've tried watching CSI Miami since, but it's never interested me. The characters looked like they were trying to copy Grissom & Co from Nevada.

I'll still be watching the cross-over episode between Miami & New York - I'm a big fan o Gary Sinise, and I'm curious how it goes. The real test of how good a show it is will be about the 5th episode, when they're settling into a rhythm. One-off specials are not a fair indication of a show's quality.

I like L&O: CI best of all. Goren is kooky, and balanced by Eames. L&O: SVU is good also, but I find myself missing it most weeks. L&O I watch occasionally, but don't really care too much for it.

Next year there's a 4th official L&O franchise - Law & Order: Trial By Jury. I'll be very interested to see how this one goes. Detective Briscoe, who left L&O this year, has moved over into the new franchise.

Im a big CSI:Miami fan, I like the other CSI also but it dosnt hook me as much as Miami, I love the cast of CSI Miami.
Im really looking forward to CSI:New York, I dont think it will be too much.
Gary Sinise is an awesome actor and New York is a great place for a CSI show, I cant wait for it, may even like it more then Miami, will have to wait and see.

They're keeping tradition with CSI. Apparently the theme song for New York will be Baba O'Reilly, by the Who.

Someone in CBS must be a big fan.

i can't wait. i love gary senise he is so cool. but i have to agree L&O svu is the better of them. i used to prefer criminal intent cause of goren he is so freaky, but then i found det. stabbler a very interesting fellow. very passionate about his work. great character.

i have the first series of csi on dvd. can't get into the miami one. not a caruso fan. ew i can't stand him.

I think 3 of the same show at one time is overkill. even star trek which because of it's cult status in the US had a guaranteed audience never had more than two of it's various incarnations showing on tv at one time.

It's interesting. I have never met a person who has liked both CSI's. They either loved one or the other, but not both.

I wonder why?

You're the first.

But I bet you have a preference if you had to choose between them right?
