Hey Guys,
Well this past week i was lucky enough to be in Melbourne for CUP WEEK.
I suggest everyone to go down at some stage in there life. I had one of the enjoyful weeks of my life down there.
Monday was at the Cup Parade down the main street of Melbourne, Tuesday was obviously Cup Day, Thursday was Oaks Day. I was down there until Sunday but didn't want to go on Emirates Stakes day, as it's more of a Family Day.
I'm going again next year, but this time will be there for Derby Day as well.
Even though there are massive crowds at Flemington, you can still line up for food and drinks and be served within 5 minutes. Going to the TAB is a different story, but the bookies ring isn't that busy and you can put your bet on and be in and out within 2 minutes.
I got to be 5 metres from the fence right in front of the post on Cup Day, was a great sight! I got some photos from the 2 days at the track, when i get them on my pc i'll put some up in this topic!
Once again - i advise very strongly for everyone to go at least once in there life to this spectacular. If anyone has any queries on the carnival let me know and i'll try and answer them for you.
P.S - I only backed 2 winners on Cup Day, but i unloaded on the Oaks winner Arapaho Miss on Thursday so it was a successful two days at the races, but it didn't cover my casino losses......
Cheers,
Juggy
