6 in a row now. I know we won 9 in 02 but is this our best since? In 2010 we won 5 in a row twice and from memory we didn't win 6 or more in a row in either 03 or 04.

To me, the important thing is (and touch wood) we haven't lost two or more in a row. That will be a first since 2004.

To get to the GF and win without a loss would make it 14 (?) wins in a row. That seems ambitious to me but that might be because I'm used to the mediocrity that has been dished up over the last few years.

Does anyone think suffering a loss during the season proper may ease some pressure that a winning streak may give?

Yep agreed kungl, the whole " loss they had to have before winning the comp" is horseshit.

If a side is good enough to win 14+ games to win the comp then they'll do that.

I don't think there's a loss we have to have, but I think this team has a strong mentality. We know how to recover from losses a lot better than we could in the pass. We don't need a loss, but I'm not scared of one. As long as it's not a sudden death match.

Robinson is really good at getting the players to learn from their mistakes, he doesn't need a loss to do that, because as good as we are we're not perfect.

Spot on cliffy, Robbo after every single game in the press conferences enforces the point that we have and need improvement still. I get the impression the coach loves his video analysis of both our side and the opposition.

I don't believe in "the loss you have to have" either but that loss against the warriors was important. The players publicly acknowledged the Warriors simply tackled harder, ran harder etc and we haven't looked back since.

It's shaping as an epic finals series. The way the Storm put the cleaners through Canberra today will have every team in contention looking over their shoulders. Kind of wish we could have played them down there before seasons' end. Luck of the draw I guess.

A loss from here on end will happen if the opposition plays better than us. It will not come down to complacency or lack of effort, not this year. We are better than that.

The Raiders are a dangerous team imo, they've taken us down once this year so they've got it in them to do it again.

However I think Robbo will keep us in line and we should be able to get them, but IMO it'll be closer then a lot of people think.
