Lokomotiva Beroun is in the Prague metro area IIRC.Czech Republic have (arguably) the third strongest comp on mainland Europe, behind France and Serbia. They have 8 senior teams in their first division and I think 4-5 teams in their youth comp.
Despite their 8 established sides though, they've never gained a foothold in Prague itself, who knows, perhaps you could finally be the catalyst for a team taking off in the capital!!
I think there are some English/Aussies involved with running the comp but I don't know if they are players too. I think the league has been putting a lot of focus on the juniors recently so TBH they could probably use a couple of experienced blokes to help them out on the field. They will pretty much all speak English so just drop them an email if/when you get out there and they will sort you out.
You're right, I just checked the map, very close, but not quite Prague I suppose.
That is the brilliant thing, there's not many if any. The guy who initially set it up was an Aussie but he's since left. There's one Aussie that referee's matches, other than that, I believe literally all of the players were locals (I saw a match there last year).
haha, yep and as EH says, Beroun is only 30km from central Prague, so not far at all really.
