It pains me so much to see the tigers, knights and storm play such an enterprising and entertaining brand of rugby league. Compared to them we look like a bunch of park footballers. People say that we lack enthusiasm and fire but at 2-6 if our players cannot find the drive / fire to perform may be we have the wrong players.

WHY CANT WE BE TIGERS, KNIGHTS OR STORM.............:cry::cry:

you could see the effort was there for both halves (unlike last week) just some bad passes and kicks at critical stages of the game let them down

Sorry but just a effort isn't good enough

after last week it was demanded that they players put in

they failed again to bring anything extra

if this game had happended in round 5 it wouldn't be that bad but for a round 10 game it's simply not good enough

Yep - it must be the players fault..... Same way when the players leave parra they suddenly find themselves half decent footballers.

there IS a constant in all this you know.

A improved performance on the Canberra debacle, the players certainly showed some heart and put in for the full 80mins.
A couple of notes, first half kicking game was sub standard, time and time again the ball goes dead in goal giving Canterbury a easy walk out to the 20m
Muzza,Guru Jnr do not shift in on every play and allow players to get around you, likewise don't give them the opportunity to push you into touch.
Pleasing to see the second half comeback and the players not losing heart after being down 18-6 at HT.
Shane Hayne, Still NFI

Love to see Jarrod get his shot, 4 tries in PL today and wouldn't be out of place in first grade IMHO.

too true given their position on the ladder they should have shown a LOT more enthusiasm

Because thru thick and thin we are the Parramatta Eels and should always be proud of that. Unfortunately teams cant be on top all the time and this just seem to be our year to be below par. Its looks like its basically a year to just go thru the motions, and I will be with them the whole way.

Why would you want to be a Tiger. Their fans still cant even accept their team as a the West Tigers

Why would you want to be a Knight. Wooden spoon winners of last year. At least one thing Brian has never given us... (yet)

Why would you want to follow the Storm. They still put the rules up on the screen FFS.

I understand the point you are making about game play and plans. But I would rather be and Eel with the worst game plan in history than any other club!

Nobody is talking about jumoing ship.

But quite frankly, the rubbish that has been dished up this year is not acceptable, and shouldnt be accepted as just not our year.

On paper, we should be on top of the ladder.

We're not, we're embarrasing, and players and coaching staff need to ask themselves serious questions about whether they have any pride, firstly, in the jumper, and secondly, in themselves. And if not, there's a new coach coming to show them the door next year.

well said, I'm not going to give up them [never will] but I'm seek of feeling the way I do after a game. at the moment? a win to me would be as good as grand final victory and I haven't felt this way since 95.

i agree with fishy and eela. A new coach is coming in next year with new ideas. I would think if they didn't have pride in the jumper or the club, then they would at least want to put in a good effort so the Hagan would want to keep them next year. At this rate which players would he keep????

we've all been through to much to gie up.
And you know me, over the years I havent been one to rip the team or coach.

But with the stability and depth in our squad, this year was our best chance at winning a comp since '86, and I'm gutted that looks like its been flushed down the can, because, quite frankly, given our squad and depth, our position on the ladder is an embarrasment, and its an embarrasment that after what, round 9 or 10, we're still saying. 'yeah that was a better effort, we're getting closer'.
