Hey mate, :)

Nah he hasn't played a game of First Grade for us yet.

Been on the sidelines quite a bit with a couple injuries, and in the games he's played in the NSW Cup he's apparently struggled (I'm going by what others have said since I haven't watched him personally).

Apparently he had a good game last week though so he might crack first grade soon.

Hope that helps. Now you can tell your mate he's wrong :D haha.

Good luck to the Sharkies.

You are spot on. Broken toe, Broken hand, Hamstring injury played a decent game on Sat but got suspended for a dangerous throw so gets another week off

I see him riding his bmx bike around Penrith Primary School a fair bit waiting to pick his kids up. Maybe if he got a full size bike he would stop getting all these injuries?

Career at the crossroads. Half way thru 2010 and no positive signs big Dane is displaying the sort of form worthy of promotion to the bench in the top grade. His injuries and form are a major concern particularly as he is signed on for 2011?

There is light at the end of the tunnel for the Sharks. They have the nucleus of a decent squad as recent performances have demonstrated. One or two astute acquistions for 2011 could really turn your fortunes around but I just hope Michael Gordon isn't one of them as he is a quality player and exception goal kicker.

well flash would be great to have at the Sharks. But I really think he is better off playing for Penrith. And I agree with you about light at the end of the tunnel, our performance against the Roosters was exceptional, but we're in for a toughie against the Stains (Dragons) this week.

The sharkies are only a couple of signings away from getting a title.

And when they get to the big one,I'll be there to cheer them on.

I think you's and Raiders are 12months from being a top 8 team the kids just need a bit extra time. need a decent centre for your number 4 jersey a 6 for when Barrett leaves and you will be right up there

Yeah your right. When Luke Covell returns I am tipping him to play centre. Taulima Tautai is sh*t in defence, but he is improving. And about the number 6 position, we have Scott Porter available, Albert Kelly, and a dude called Josh Lewis who could play 9, 6 or 7.

Lazy trainer no commitment ... soaking up 200k from cap.....I think Pennies will jump at the chance to unload talent like that !

with the raiders they need the roosters to stop poaching their bloody players. hate seeing it happen to them tbh

good luck to the penrith team though, turned it around very nicely on the back of some astute signings of players who arnt big names but honest players in Burns, Kingston, Bringing Elford back was a good move too imo, purtell hasnt done u guys wrong either actually.

if parra don't make the finals ill be cheering our neighbours on!!! hate to see the title to go to Dragons

Not even close to 200k, and not a lazy trainer either ask Matt Elliott

When his signing was first announced the paper talk was a two year deal worth $320K as I recall. Personally, I would be surprised if his deal was anywhere near that but that is what I recall at the time. The papers and other forms of media, including forums, tend to speculate about what players sign for. Despite his injury troubles I would be off loading Dane Laurie if the opportunity arises, he is simply not first grade material I'm afraid, as he is too lazy and mistake prone.

Could be a real weapon in the finals off the bench.... I suspect this is what Elliott is thinking naming him on an extended bench now. I think he has a role to play this year yet.

Sadly, his most important role will remain as being a 'parent' to his children. I just can't see things turning around for Dane, but I hope I am wrong.
