He was last year when he was fit. Kept Joe Gulavao at the Wenty Magpies for a lot of the season. Last year we had an abundance of 2nd Rowers and only 2 and a half props. This year it has reversed so his chances of playing should be pretty good.

Incorrect. Joe G played every NRL game last season. Didn't play for Wenty once. Benny didn't even earn a starting spot in the backrow until round 20 or so.

Keeping Weller at Wenty wasn't a big claim to fame at all.

Ben Smith will have a decent season provided he can stay injury free but to be the second rower of the year as someone has already stated there will have to be a serious injury crisis at a number of clubs across the whole NRL for that to happen.

He may pick up a Country jersey but that will be about the extent of his accolades this year.

No worries. Weller was useless though. It's a shame because he had talent. But I'm glad we let him go because it never seemed like he had the right attitude and work ethic to become a consistent first grader.
