If the Daily Telegraph were honest about what they thought was the headline moment of the year. Greg Bird and Todd Carney would be up on stage winning a joint award as we speak.

I think it is verging on shameful that the Daily Telegraph is involved in this. Considering they do their best to drag this games name through the mud.

Alan Tongue won Captain of the year.

I support the Raiders, so I am biased, but this man ran out for us with broken ribs after attending a family members funeral, because it was a must win game and we were looking in bad shape.

He went out and had a great game.

He is an amazing player to us.

I'm ecstatic he has won 2 awards tonight. No one in the game deserves it more imo.

The only reason Best wouldnt win winger of the year is because he played a couple of games in the centers. Easily the standout.

Kidding me... impressive perhaps. 'Headline' it's not. They're never going to award anything controversial or in poor form. They should just call it on field moment of the year or something.
