Not according to Brian Smith. In a lengthy interview that aired on 2bl sunday (done after the knights match), Smith said he had never offered his resignation.

Comparing Anderson's tenure to Smiths is rediculous. Anderson has had half a sh*t season. Smith has had 2 and a half. Anderson realised that his time, for whatever reason, was over. Smith still reckons he has what it takes (sort of like a typwriter manufacturer waiting for the upswing in demand I reckon!)

Anderson was fired by Watson.... :roll:

I think you are wrong, and I'd like to see you back it up.

However, if Watson DID fire Anderson, good on him for taking a stand to improve his club.
