Continues to impress in the 20's, last two weeks has been MOM. Close to a First Grade debut, with the depth in the forwards at the moment it will probably come next year. Will probably captain the 20's next year also.

I love watching this kid play. Saw a little bit of him in the juniors and he impressed me. Hope we have him wrapped up long term.:thumb

For those who haven't seen him play he is pretty much a Frank Pritchard clone. Similar height and plays the game very similar to Frank. Like Frank he plays on the left hand side off the field and links his centre William Isa regurlarly throughout matches.

I think he is with the club for a couple of years. Elliott has told me he has big plans for Iosefa,Graham,Coote,McKendry and Penese. Penese being the last one to debut off the 5.

I got a big reply from Elliott so i wont share it all Murraymob. The part which answers your question is below:

"We currently have 8 of the SG Ball Squad and 4 Matthews lads involved in our EDGE program who train in conjunction with our NYC squad"

Murraymob thought you might be interested in this piece of information as well.

'In saying that we have to recognize that Steve Georgallis has used around 35 players this year already and we have up to 8 players who will be back from injury in the next 3 weeks'

What 8 players is he talking about. Possibly Waddell?

Another Players' Player award for Penese last night, 3 in a row now. Georgallis said in the post match interview that he will be the next 20's player promoted. Possibly this year but definately at the beginning of next season.

Waddell is gone for the season. Michael Mate will be back before Waddell.

The 20's have really good 'go forward' being provided by a very handy front row in McKendry, Blackett and Orton. With Penese in the back row and Joey Paulo to return and possibly Tim Grant if Woolnough/Rodney/Frank P go to FG, the 20's has a great pack of forwards.

Well Elliott stated that we will have 8 players back in the next 3 weeks, Ward has to be one of them.

We need Joey Paulo back playing 5/8, Isa is a great centre but he looks lost at 5/8. He has only had to play there cause there is no one else! We have tried Ward,Coote,Theoharous and Isa to partner Romelo in the halves.

Penese is one of these young guys that has size and speed. I don't know if he will be as good as T or Franky P? Who knows.

Personally I think Joey Paulo is the pick of the litter in terms of size, speed. skills and ability. I also like the look of Blackett as a no nonsense meter eater and tackling machine. McKendry has the goods as an impact player and go forward man.

Tim Grant is rock solid. Just needs to pack on 5-10kgs and maintain some fitness with the extra bulk.

Forwards aren't our problem. We need halves. We are relying heavily on Lewis to do a makeshift job until Iselin and Seijka are ready to step up.

I've expressed my opinions on here until I am blue in the face.........Masada has the good to do a good job in the halves and then switch back to hooker when the young guys move up.

Masada is the best junior since Gowie, who in turn was the best since Brandy. I just wish Elliott could see that and use it for the good of the team.
