I think he's been playing super footy for the dragons, Monaghan is the incumbant but was only given a shot last series, he did well but not well enough to make his place untouchable, it was a choice between Boyd and Monaghan and even as a Big Red lover, i've gotta say the form has Boyd slightly ahead.

Why is Boyd in the Aussie team? He has played mostly fullback and centre at Dragons and hasn't done anything special IMO. Solid but there's a heap of wingers who are specialists who should have been there ahead of him, especially since Boyd is carrying an injury. Yes he was. But it certainly helped that he was playing for the best side at time. That's not an insult to Hegarty.. just an observation.

Open your eyes. He was outstanding for Brisbane all season last year and has been outstanding for the dragons. He will play test football as a fullback in the coming years, no doubt about that at all.
