Played right centre. We're best served by him there IMO. He's an excellent defender and can set his wingers up. I hope Price sticks with last nights team when Cooper is fit and comes in for Green and I prey he doesn't put Beau back in the centres.

Vidot had a busy game. The kid is f**king massive.

Vidot is a very handy player at doing the hard yards inside your twenty or whatever. It was always the best part of his game.

Hayne is a pretty strong defender in a one on one situation he is a pretty athletic fellow. I wouldn't say he is a bad defender he just doesn't have a lot of situation awareness. Dugan on the otherhand can be bumped off a tackle but has outstanding situation awareness and saves heaps of tries by being in the right place at the right time.

Neither are bad defenders.

They both struggle to stop players who make a break (especially Hayne which shouldn't happen considering his speed). As for situation awareness, that is the most important aspect of a fullbacks defense. Defense at fullback is about a lot more than just being able to tackle someone.

Also this isn't about being a bad player. I said there are few that i would consider really good. My point is that defending well at fullback is a tough job that few really get right.

Agree with this, that's probably the best backline line-up for the saints. Stanley looked so much more comfortable in the centres than FB, and Morris did indeed a splendid job.
If Vidot gets his head right, he can be a weapon as well...

I wouldn't say Hayne is a bad defender, but he has the tendency to occasionally fall asleep at the back and as a result is sometimes caught out of position when a break is made or a kick is put through.

Before this forum goes placing Morris as the Australian fullback as is the want of this place , remember just how rubbish the tigers were in attack and defense last night . They were rubbish . I think the hits to the head of Benji was a solid move ,took him out. No Benji=No tigers.
