Darren Albert has just signed a 2yr contract he's one of the highest earners at St Helens and a Big crowd favorite

He's not wanting to return to Australia as you can't offer him a bigger contract than he's on now?
Where has he said he wants to play for the Sharks? Load of B0lloks if you ask me

he reckons Pommes are weird stalkers.
he wants out. Wants to be a Shark. Wants to shag women with a tan & not see their veins.

Newcastle grand-final hero Darren Albert is poised to make a shock return to the NRL with Cronulla. One of the quickest players in rugby league, Albert has two years remaining on his contract at English club St Helens but wants a final stint in the NRL before retirement. The Sharks have held discussions with St Helens and his management to try to arrange a early release from Albert's contract. "He wants to come home and it looks fairly ambicable," Cronulla cheif executive Steve Rogers said.

They are talking or Rogers is going mad and calling random people Darren Albert...

edit - gold reefy

Maybe it's not about Money?

And there is this other thing called FAMILY. Most players value them pretty highly. Usually more then the almighty £.

Albert would be nice... Just as long as we don't pay too much £ for him...:p

We needa look into the market for a fullback and centre for next year...

*loads gun and points at David Simmons' head*

Maybe two fullbacks just in case...;-)
