Mateo only set up their first 2 tries and scored the 3rd

Nothing much.

Too fat and lazy remember.

Great attacker but shit in defence three weeks in a row. You can only afford to bring that to a team if you've got a good kicking game on top of your great attack (i.e. a halfback).

Mateo's like a big halfback with no kicking game - fat contract, shit defence and all.

The departure of Taylor will free up around $400,000 for Souths and put them in a great position to sign either Cooper Cronk from Melbourne or Daly Cherry-Evans from Manly.

Queensland halfback Cronk is the biggest name off contract at the end of the year and is yet to commit himself to the Storm.

Manly have huge salary-cap issues, with many big names on back-ended contracts that kick in next season. They are battling to keep Cherry-Evans, who is earning just $85,000 a season and has asked for a release despite having a year to run on his contract.

I would make a play for both Te'o and Houston if they are off contract. Both great players who always give their best. I would also look at some of the big centres in Rugby and turn them into edge back rowers. There are some great players running around in rugby and their defensive structures have improved immensely over the last 5 years or so. Robbie Freun who plays outside centre for the Crusaders would look good in a 12 shirt for the Eels. Beau Robinson who plays loose forward for the Reds would also be a star in league. I think he's off contract too.

Surely we could get someone like Lewis Brown for half the price.

Always thought he was a good player. Was looking like one of the Warriors best last season before they gave Johnson a shot and he decided to carry them on his back similar to Hayne in 09.

If we keep looking to other players from other teams to save us, we will become like the Roosters through the 80's - they tried to buy players. Just add water and presto, instant team of winners.

We have the players. They have the ability now. They just need the guidance.

SK is quickly running out of time, even though season is only 3 weeks old.

If the team doesn't start to win, the players will lose faith in the coach and when that happens, its all over for him.

We need to win this week...... we are getting desperate.

In my opinion, if we lose badly the next two games, our season is over. Players will lose hope as will the fans.

Next week is a grand final to the team. They should forget about the fans, just win it for each other.
